Here is what is happening in the studio today…
Nothing… nothing physical is happening today, probably tonight a little. Night studio maybe.
So how does ‘nothing’ translate into working in the studio?
I carry the images inside me, in my mind… I look around everywhere and I see patterns and colors that can apply to the work.
I work in my head all the time which means that at some point today it will take physical form, it will materialize on paper to make the transition between what is in my head and actual lines and color. It’s a very abstract non linear process and hard to explain.
It is a bit like the telling of last night’s dream, highly subject to interpretation.
When I capture the essence of it this image can connect in a meaningful way with another human.
Today’s thought is about working on my art while I am doing other things.
This is not unique to me obviously, there are a lot of artists doing this.
This is just another way of connecting the dots.
Having a continuous stream of artwork that comes from the spirit and experiences.
