You know, the blog is becoming more like every other day.

Meaning one can’t be rigid about goals one sets.

My intention for writing everyday was to stay in touch with every day and my feelings during this month that is so full of emotion, possibly joy, and cold weather.

So here it goes, there’s no escaping the holidays.

But oh wait, I did escape Christmas holiday one year. Yep, I was in India at a Vipassanā meditation center, and Christmas and New Year were a non event. It was great.

But I do like all the decorations and the general spirit of the whole thing. Probably what gets tiring is the constant reminder about being in the spirit.

So here’s a thought: create my own spirit, my own joy, my own tradition.

Being open and not being trapped into the one way of doing things.

In order to do that I need to look inward. One way to look inwards is to write, evaluate, and ask myself “does this feel true and real for me?”

It is a lot of work, but what else have I got to do?!

So far the month is going well and I am transforming myself into the person I want to be… Ok that is a lot of philosophy.

What about the studio? The artwork? Well, I started to make adorable Christmas cards to gift to people. That is my tradition.

I have never bought Christmas cards, I let my friends know I love them by making a card for them.
