today is a quiet day in Minneapolis and I am happy about that. I am looking a day of starting new work on paper
it is always slow starting new work …there is an adjustment of the size of the paper so there can be harmony in the proportions
it requires patience and staying present. I have an intention of writing even if a few lines about the days work I do the studio

I has been a very tense time here in Minneapolis, I feel like today, we can all breathe.I have been putting all this stress and tension into creating beautiful intense artwork, converting the energy around me to a positive and specially making it super intense in color and design. How to string the positives together to make a better world? not sure I have a answer but here is what I am doing ..making art as true an intense as possible and allowing myself to be transformed and be vulnerable.Will continue this post tomorrow.

Introduction to a virtual art show “Fish Flying”
2020 has been a very important year for my work, given the time of deep change all around me, I have been letting myself investigate my own work in a different way.
I took a journey into my past work of landscape paintings and melded them into the unknown depths of the ocean, blending the two words, below and above.
When I gave an art talk last October titled “Defining a New Reality: Seeking dots that create a new rhythm”, little did I know there was a new reality coming… At the time I talked about my own internal reality shifting and adapting from my long journey back from grief. My feeling is that the present time is requiring the same skills of me… letting go of previous notions and being flexible and open to a new reality.
The year 2020 is flying by inside a strange bubble of time-passing, new reality, and lives suspended in time while everything is changing all around.
I am grateful to be able to take refuge in my artwork more than ever, it gives me shelter.
This virtual show is about being malleable and adapting to what is available to me.
So this is my first show this year. I want people to see my work at least once this year.
The artworks produced are like time posts showing a kind of unknown reality.
The way the show is set up:
*Art patrons can make an appointment to see the work here at the A-Mill, wearing masks. I have a flexible schedule.
*View the show via the website blog, it will be updated as we go along.
The work is for sale and I take checks, Paypal , Venmo & ApplePay .We can talk on the phone or via email.
